Abstract:
(EN) Sterilization methods for implantable prostheses are described where a polymeric stent may be sterilized, e.g., via ETO sterilization, at a temperature below a glass transition temperature of the stent. A separate delivery catheter may be sterilized separately and the stent and delivery catheter may then be combined in an aseptic or semi-aseptic environment and sterilized as an assembled system such that the requirements for sterilizing the system are relatively lower. Additionally and/or alternatively, valve and filter assemblies may be used with an optional mandrel assembly for maintaining sterility of the internal components of a catheter system.
(FR) L'invention porte sur des procédés de stérilisation de prothèses implantables. Selon l'invention, on peut utiliser un stent polymère, par exemple, par stérilisation à l'oxyde d'éthylène, à une température inférieure à la température de transition vitreuse du stent. On peut stériliser à part un cathéter de délivrance séparé, et on peut ensuite combiner le stent et le cathéter de délivrance dans un environnement aseptique ou semi-aseptique et les stériliser en tant que système assemblé, de telle sorte que les exigences de stérilisation du système sont relativement inférieures. De plus et/ou différemment, on peut utiliser des ensembles de soupapes et filtres avec un ensemble facultatif de maintien pour maintenir la caractéristique stérile des composants internes d'un système de cathéter.
