Abstract:
(EN) This disclosure describes a new a header compression method for a MAC protocol that combines contention-free and contention-based MAC protocols into a heterogeneous MAC protocol used for forwarding VoIP traffic in VoIP systems on wireless networks using multiple base stations that reduces packet overhead thus allowing for transmission of high bit-rate data to multiple users over wired and wireless means.
(FR) L'invention concerne un nouveau procédé de compression d'en-tête pour un protocole de contrôle d'accès au support (MAC) qui combine des protocoles MAC sans collision et avec collision en un protocole MAC hétérogène servant à transférer un trafic voix sur IP (VoIP) dans des systèmes VoIP sur des réseaux sans fil mettant en œuvre des stations de base multiples pour réduire le surdébit, ce qui permet la transmission à des utilisateurs multiples de données à haut débit, sur des dispositifs câblés et sans fil.
