Abstract:
(EN) A temperature sensor (10) includes temperature detecting means and at least one of a catalyst and an adsorbent applied to the surface of the temperature detecting means. At least one of the catalyst and the adsorbent catalyzes an exothermic reaction of a reactant in gas on the temperature detecting means. A temperature that is increased by the exothermic reaction is detected by the temperature detecting means. The catalytic efficiency for the exothermic reaction of at least one of the catalyst and the adsorbent is reduced by sulfur poisoning. The temperature sensor (10) is disposed upstream of an exhaust purification system (30). Accordingly, it is determined that the temperature sensor is subjected to sulfur poisoning if the temperature detected by the temperature sensor is below a prescribed temperature.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un capteur de température (10) qui comprend des moyens de détection de température et un catalyseur et/ou un adsorbant appliqués à la surface des moyens de détection de température. Le catalyseur et/ou l'adsorbant catalysent une réaction exothermique d'un réactif dans un gaz sur les moyens de détection de température. Une température qui est augmentée par la réaction exothermique est détectée par les moyens de détection de température. L'efficacité catalytique de la réaction exothermique du catalyseur et/ou de l'adsorbant est réduite par empoisonnement au soufre. Le capteur de température (10) est disposé en amont d'un système de purification d'échappement (30). En conséquence, on détermine que le capteur de température est soumis à un empoisonnement au soufre si la température détectée par le capteur de température est inférieure à une température prescrite.
