Abstract:
(EN) The present invention comprises a new method for controlled manufacture of the beta phase stable at ambient temperature and pressure of pure transition metals of group IV of the periodic system. The process which takes place at ambient temperature comprises, firstly, application of pressure to the sample and, subsequently, while maintaining this pressure, exerting shearing deformation to the same. The pressures and temperatures required are much lower than those necessary for obtaining the beta phase of transition metals of group IV through other available techniques, such as the diamond anvil cell.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un nouveau procédé permettant l'établissement contrôlé de la phase bêta stable à température et pression ambiantes dans les métaux de transition purs du groupe IV du système périodique. Ce procédé, qui a lieu à température ambiante, consiste d'abord à appliquer une pression sur l'échantillon, puis ensuite, tout en maintenant cette pression, à exercer une déformation de cisaillement sur ledit échantillon. Les pressions et températures requises sont nettement inférieures à celles nécessaires pour obtenir la phase bêta des métaux de transition du groupe IV au moyen d'autres techniques disponibles, comme par exemple la cellule à enclume de diamant (DAC).
(ES) Esta invención consiste en un nuevo método para la fabricación controlada de la fase beta estable a temperatura y presión ambientales en los metales de transición puros del grupo IV del sistema periódico. El proceso, que tiene lugar a temperatura ambiente, consiste en, primero, aplicar una presión sobre la muestra y, posteriormente, manteniendo esta presión, ejercer una deformación de cizalladura sobre la misma. Las presiones y temperaturas requeridas son mucho menores que las necesarias para obtener la fase beta de los metales de transición del grupo IV mediante otras técnicas disponibles, tales como la célula D.A.C.
