Abstract:
(EN) When producing an image in an optical scanning device, such as an optical scanning device employing pulse width modulation, for example, edges are reproduced by illuminating, within a pixel through which an edge passes, an off-centered location towards the lighter illumination side of the edge. Such a technique reproduces an edge with reduced jagging and with accurate color as compared to conventional displays.
(FR) Lorsque l’on produit une image dans un dispositif à balayage optique, comme un dispositif à balayage optique utilisant une modulation de largeur d’impulsion, par exemple, les bords sont reproduits en illuminant, dans un pixel à travers lequel passe un bord, un emplacement décentré vers le côté d’illumination plus léger du bord. Cette technique permet de reproduire un bord avec des brèches moindres et avec des couleurs précises par rapport aux affichages traditionnels.
