Abstract:
(EN) A vibration resistant fastening system (10) including a high fatigue strength bolt (12) made from a first material and a nut (14) made from a second material that is softer than the first material of the bolt. The bolt includes bolt threads (26) and the nut includes pre-tapped nut threads (30) that match with the bolt threads. The fastening system utilizes a combination of unique geometry of the nut and bolt threads (26, 30) and a hardness differential between the nut and bolt to provide vibration resistance. When tightened, crests (32) of the bolt threads embed into the soft bearing flanks (42) of the nut threads. Simultaneously with the bolt crest (32) embedment, the softer nut thread crests (38) flow radially inward into the root radius of the bolt threads. This complete contact between the nut and the bolt restricts the nut from moving in a transverse direction relative to a longitudinal axis of the bolt.
(FR) L'invention porte sur un système de fixation résistant aux vibrations (10), comprenant un boulon à forte résistance à la fatigue (12) constitué d'un premier matériau et un écrou (14) constitué d'un second matériau plus mou que le premier matériau utilisé pour le boulon. Le boulon comprend des filetages de boulon (26) et l'écrou comprend des filetages d'écrou pré-taraudés (30) correspondant aux filetages du boulon. Le système de fixation utilise une combinaison d'une géométrie particulière de l'écrou et des filetages de boulon (26, 30) et la différence de dureté entre l'écrou et le boulon, pour fournir une résistance aux vibrations. Lors du serrage, les crêtes (32) des filetages du boulon s'intègrent dans les flancs d'appui mou (42) des filetages de l'écrou.
