Abstract:
(EN) An electroluminescent (EL) subpixel driven by a digital-drive scheme has a readout transistor driven by a current source when the drive transistor is non-conducting. This produces an emitter-voltage signal from which an aging signal representing the efficiency of the EL emitter can be computed. The aging signal is used to determine the loss in current of the subpixel when active, and an input signal is adjusted to provide increased on-time to compensate for voltage rise and efficiency loss of the EL emitter. Variations due to temperature can also be compensated for.
(FR) Un sous-pixel électroluminescent (EL) actionné par un circuit d’actionnement numérique comprend un transistor de lecture actionné par une source de courant lorsque le transistor d’actionnement est non conducteur. Cela produit un signal de tension d’émetteur à partir duquel un signal de vieillissement représentant l’efficacité de l’émetteur EL peut être calculé. Le signal de vieillissement est utilisé afin de déterminer la perte de courant du sous-pixel lorsqu’il est actif, et un signal d’entrée est ajusté afin de fournir un temps de marche accru de manière à compenser les hausses de tension et une perte d’efficacité de l’émetteur EL.
