Abstract:
(EN) The present invention relates to a method of preparing a polymer modified pigment comprising the steps of, combining, in any order, a modified pigment comprising a pigment having attached at least one reactive group, a polymer comprising at least one functional group, and a non-reactive diluent, to form a reaction mixture, reacting the polymer and the modified pigment in the reaction mixture to form a mixture comprising the polymer modified pigment and the non-reactive diluent; and removing the non-reactive diluent from the mixture to form the polymer modified pigment. Also disclosed are the resulting polymer modified pigments and inkjet ink compositions comprising them.
(FR) La présente invention porte sur un procédé de préparation d'un pigment modifié par un polymère. Ledit procédé comporte les étapes consistant à combiner, dans un ordre quelconque, un pigment modifié comprenant un pigment auquel est fixé au moins un groupe réactif, un polymère possédant au moins un groupe fonctionnel, et un diluant non réactif, pour former un mélange réactionnel ; à faire réagir le polymère et le pigment modifié, dans le mélange réactionnel, pour former un mélange contenant le pigment modifié par le polymère et le diluant non réactif ; et à éliminer le diluant non réactif du mélange pour former le pigment modifié par le polymère. L'invention porte également sur les pigments modifiés par des polymères qui sont obtenus et sur des compositions d'encre pour jet d'encre qui contiennent lesdits pigments.
