Abstract:
(EN) A mobile compact imaging system that combines both of the imaging system of and optical imaging into a single system which can be located in the operating room (OR) and provides faster feedback to determine if a tumor has been fully resected and if there are adequate surgical margins. While final confirmation is obtained from the pathology lab, such a device can reduce the total time necessary for the procedure and the number of iterations required to achieve satisfactory resection of a tumor with good margins.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un système d’imagerie compact mobile qui combine à la fois le système d’imagerie et l’imagerie optique dans un seul système qui peut être situé dans la salle d’opération et qui donne une rétroaction plus rapide pour déterminer si une tumeur a été entièrement réséquée et s’il existe des marges chirurgicales adéquates. Pendant que la confirmation finale est obtenue du laboratoire de pathologie, un tel dispositif peut réduire la durée totale nécessaire à la procédure et le nombre de répétitions nécessaires pour obtenir une résection satisfaisante d’une tumeur avec de bonnes marges.
