Abstract:
(EN) A sun detection sensor assembly for attachment to a thermal imaging device, comprising an elongated tubular body having two ends and a sensor, characterized as Sun TECT sensor, attached to one end, the Sun TECT sensor having a tubular body, an IR window positioned at one end of the tubular body, and a photo a infrared photo transistor positioned within the tubular body, opposite the IR window, the infrared photo transistor having a photo sensitive surface for detecting the exposure from sun when the sun is within a field of view of the Sun TECT Sensor, and an automatic ON/OFF mechanism which is activated by the infrared photo transistor and protecting the thermal imaging device from undesired and harmful infrared radiation.
(FR) L’invention concerne un ensemble à capteur de détection du soleil destiné à être fixé à un dispositif d’imagerie thermique et comprenant un corps tubulaire allongé possédant deux extrémités et un capteur, appelé capteur Sun TECT, fixé à une extrémité, ledit capteur Sun TECT possédant un corps tubulaire, une fenêtre IR placée à une extrémité du corps tubulaire, et un phototransistor infrarouge placé dans le corps tubulaire, en face de la fenêtre IR, ce phototransistor infrarouge présentant une surface photosensible servant à détecter l’exposition au soleil lorsque le soleil se trouve dans un cône d’analyse du capteur Sun TECT, ainsi qu’un mécanisme marche/arrêt automatique qui est activé par le phototransistor infrarouge et qui protège le dispositif d’imagerie thermique d’un rayonnement infrarouge non souhaité et nocif.
