Abstract:
(EN) A liquid crystal display device (100) is provided with: an active matrix substrate (120) having a plurality of pixel electrodes (124) arranged in matrix of a plurality of rows and columns; a counter substrate (140) having a counter electrode (144); a vertically aligned liquid crystal layer (160); and an axisymmetrical liquid crystal domain forming section (150), which forms a liquid crystal domain wherein liquid crystal molecules (162) of the liquid crystal layer (160) are axisymmetrically aligned and is positioned at the center of the liquid crystal domain.  Each of the pixel electrodes (124) defines a pixel region.  The axisymmetric liquid crystal domain forming section (150) is arranged corresponding to the region between the two pixel regions defined by the two adjacent pixel electrodes (124).
(FR) Dispositif (100) d'affichage à cristaux liquides, comportant : un substrat (120) à matrice active doté d'une pluralité d'électrodes (124) de pixels disposées en une matrice d'une pluralité de lignes et de colonnes ; un contre-substrat (140) doté d'une contre-électrode (144) ; une couche (160) de cristaux liquides alignés verticalement ; et une section (150) de formation de domaine axisymétrique de cristaux liquides, qui forme un domaine de cristaux liquides où des molécules (162) de cristaux liquides de la couche (160) de cristaux liquides sont alignées de façon axisymétrique et qui est positionnée au centre du domaine de cristaux liquides. Chacune des électrodes (124) de pixels définit une région de pixels. La section (150) de formation de domaine axisymétrique de cristaux liquides est disposée de façon à correspondre à la région située entre deux régions de pixels définies par deux électrodes (124) de pixels adjacentes.
(JA)  本発明による液晶表示装置(100)は、複数の行および複数の列のマトリクス状に設けられた複数の画素電極(124)を有するアクティブマトリクス基板(120)と、対向電極(144)を有する対向基板(140)と、垂直配向型の液晶層(160)と、液晶層(160)の液晶分子(162)が軸対称に配向される液晶ドメインを形成し、この液晶ドメインの中心に位置する軸対称液晶ドメイン形成部(150)とを備える。複数の画素電極(124)のそれぞれは画素領域を規定する。軸対称液晶ドメイン形成部(150)は、隣接する2つの画素電極(124)によって規定される2つの画素領域の間の領域に対応して設けられている。
