Abstract:
(EN) The present invention relates to aerobic production of 1,3-Propanediol by Klebsiella pneumoniae. A process for efficient conversion of glycerol to 1,3-Propanediol which is stoichiometric over a higher ratio of propanediol/ glycerol (mol/mol) compared to the theoretical theoretical yield under microaerobic conditions is provided. Production of 1,3-PDO from crude glycerol obtained from biodiesel process at a competitive and reproducible yield as compared to pure glycerol is also provided.
(FR) La présente invention concerne la production aérobie de 1,3-propanediol par Klebsiella pneumoniae. L'invention concerne un procédé de conversion efficace de glycérol en 1,3-propanediol qui est stœchiométrique avec un rapport propanediol/glycérol (mol/mol) supérieur au rendement théorique en conditions microaérobies. L'invention concerne également la production de 1,3-PDO à partir de glycérol brut obtenu par un procédé de biodiesel avec un rendement compétitif et reproductible en comparaison du glycérol pur.
