Abstract:
(EN) The present invention is directed to solid state organic light emitting devices and to methods for triplet excitation scavenging in such devices. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method for substantially reducing a triplet population in a solid state organic material, the method comprising providing molecules exhibiting non-vertical triplet energy transfer in the solid state organic material or at a distance smaller than a triplet exciton diffusion length from the solid state organic material.
(FR) La présente invention a trait à des dispositifs électroluminescents organiques à semi-conducteur et à des procédés permettant d'obtenir un balayage à excitation de triplet dans lesdits dispositifs. Plus particulièrement, la présente invention a trait à un procédé permettant de réduire sensiblement une population de triplet dans une matière organique à semi-conducteur. Ledit procédé comprend une étape consistant à fournir des molécules présentant un transfert d'énergie de triplet non vertical dans la matière organique à semi-conducteur ou à une distance inférieure à la longueur de diffusion d'exciton triplet à partir de la matière organique à semi-conducteur.
