Abstract:
(EN) A system and method is provided for positioning using the relation among the transmission power of the RF signal source, Signal-to-Noise at the signal receiver unit, bit-error-rate or packet-loss-rate of signal reception, and the distance between the signal source and the receiver unit. The transmitter unit continuously transmits the fixed amount of ranging signal packets using different transmission power, and the receiver unit receives the ranging signal packets, and obtains the packet-loss-rate corresponding to each transmission power by analyzing and calculating the received data, and calculates the distance between the signal source and the receiver unit using the relation of distance between them.
(FR) L'invention porte sur un système et sur un procédé de positionnement qui utilisent la relation entre la puissance d'émission de la source de signal radiofréquence, le rapport signal/bruit au niveau de l'unité de récepteur de signal, le taux d'erreur des éléments binaires ou le taux de perte de paquets à la réception de signal et la distance entre la source de signal et l'unité de récepteur. L'unité d'émetteur émet de façon continue le volume déterminé de paquets de signaux de distance à l'aide de différentes puissances d'émission, et l'unité de récepteur reçoit les paquets de signaux de distance et obtient le taux de perte de paquets correspondant à chaque puissance d'émission par l'analyse et le calcul des données reçues, et calcule la distance entre la source de signal et l'unité de récepteur à l'aide de la relation de distance entre celles-ci.
