Abstract:
(EN) A modification to the "gas-topping" invention disclosed in WO 2008/064415 is disclosed in this specification. The modification involves measuring a sensor input such as that provided by a diesel engine diesel fuel rail pressure sensor (5) to thereby provide a signal indicative of fuel flow rate, modifying that signal by a signal modifier (3), and substituting the modified signal for the original unmodified signal in an engine electronic control unit (7). The result is that there is no increase in engine power relative to that produced without "gas-topping" so that substantially all the benefits of "gas-topping" are captured in decreased fuel consumption and not to provided in the form of increased engine power.
(FR) La présente invention concerne une modification de l'invention du « gaz par-dessus » décrite dans le document WO 2008/064415. La modification inclut la mesure de l'entrée d'un capteur telle que celle provenant d'un capteur de pression (5) de la rampe de distribution d'un moteur diesel afin de délivrer un signal indiquant le débit de carburant, la modification de ce signal avec un dispositif de modification de signal (3), et le remplacement du signal original non modifié par le signal modifié dans une unité de commande électronique de moteur (7). Le résultat est qu'il n'y a pas d'augmentation de la puissance du moteur par rapport à celle produite sans « gaz par-dessus », de sorte que quasiment tous les avantages du « gaz par-dessus » sont réalisés sous la forme d'une consommation de carburant réduite et non pas d'un accroissement de la puissance du moteur.
