Abstract:
(EN) An oxidation catalyst for the treatment of exhaust gas emissions, such as the oxidation of unburned hydrocarbons (HC), and carbon monoxide (CO) and the reduction of nitrogen oxides (NOx) from a diesel engine and methods of exhaust gas treatment are disclosed. More particularly, a wash coat composition is disclosed comprising at least two wash coat layers, a first wash coat comprising palladium supported on ceria-zirconia and ceria-zirconia-alumina and a second wash coat containing one or more of platinum and palladium and one or more hydrocarbon storage components. An undercoat may also be included in the catalyst. Also disclosed are method of exhaust gas treatment and diesel exhaust gas treatment systems that include the oxidation catalyst and a downstream soot filter.
(FR) L'invention porte sur un catalyseur d'oxydation pour le traitement des émissions de gaz d'échappement, notamment l'oxydation d'hydrocarbures (HC) imbrûlés et du monoxyde de carbone (CO) et la réduction des oxydes d'azote (NOx) provenant d'un moteur diesel, et sur des procédés de traitement des gaz d'échappement. Plus particulièrement, elle porte sur une composition de revêtement de type « washcoat », comprenant au moins deux couches de revêtement de type « washcoat », un premier revêtement de type « washcoat » comprenant du palladium supporté sur oxyde de cérium-zircone, et sur oxyde de cérium-zircone-alumine, et un deuxième revêtement de type « washcoat » contenant un ou plusieurs parmi le platine et le palladium, et un ou plusieurs composants de stockage d'hydrocarbures. Une sous-couche peut aussi être incluse dans le catalyseur. L'invention porte aussi sur un procédé de traitement de gaz d'échappement, et sur des systèmes de traitement des gaz d'échappement de moteurs diesel, qui comprennent le catalyseur d'oxydation et un filtre à suie en aval.
