Abstract:
(EN) The dwell cycle crank includes a reciprocating piston having a piston head or cylinder, a main body connected to the piston head, a cap detachably mounted to the main body, an S-shaped cam formed between the main body and the cap, a follower disposed in the S-shaped cam, a rotatable crankshaft, and an offset journal disposed between the connecting bearing and the crankshaft to thereby form a torque arm. The S-shaped cam and connecting bearing create periodic dwells and faster strokes in the crank cycle to maximize volumetric and geometric efficiencies of the engine.
(FR) L'invention concerne un bras de manivelle à cycle de pause comprenant un piston alternatif avec une tête de piston ou un cylindre, un corps principal relié à la tête de piston, un chapeau monté détachable sur le corps principal, une came en forme de S formée entre le corps principal et le chapeau, un galet disposé dans la came en forme de S, un vilebrequin rotatif et un tourillon décalé, disposé entre le palier de connexion et le vilebrequin pour former une bielle de poussée. La came en forme de S et le palier de connexion génèrent des pauses périodiques et permettent des courses plus rapides dans le cycle du bras de manivelle, maximisant ainsi l'efficacité volumétrique et géométrique du moteur.
