Abstract:
(EN) A drug delivery adapter (10) is configured to facilitate the delivery of one or more medicaments to a subject being ventilated by a circuit (not shown). The circuit may be a ventilator circuit, or the like, configured to convey a pressurized flow of breathable gas to the airway of the subject. The ventilator circuit may form a flow path between a pressure generator and the airway of the subject to deliver a pressurized flow of breathable gas from the pressure generator to the airway of the subject. The drug delivery adapter (10), in particular, is configured to enable the delivery of one or more medicaments into the pressurized flow of breathable gas being conveyed to the subject by the circuit without compromising the integrity of the circuit through the introduction of ambient air. To facilitate this delivery, the drug delivery adapter (10) is configured to dock one or more types of medicament dispenser (44).
(FR) L'invention porte sur un raccord de distribution de médicament (10) configuré de façon à faciliter l'administration d'un ou plusieurs médicaments à un sujet ventilé par un circuit (non représenté). Le circuit peut être un circuit de ventilateur, ou similaire, configuré de manière à transporter un flux sous pression de gaz respirable vers les voies aériennes du sujet. Le circuit de ventilateur peut former un trajet d'écoulement entre un générateur de pression et les voies aériennes du sujet afin de distribuer un flux sous pression de gaz respirable du générateur de pression vers les voies aériennes du sujet. Le raccord de distribution de médicament (10), en particulier, est configuré de façon à permettre la distribution d'un ou plusieurs médicaments dans le flux sous pression de gaz respirable transporté vers le sujet par le circuit sans compromettre l'intégrité du circuit par l'introduction d'air ambiant. Pour faciliter cette distribution, le raccord de distribution de médicament (10) est configuré de manière à accueillir un ou plusieurs types de distributeur de médicament (44).
