(FR) NOUVEAUX PIGMENTS ET CHARGES À BASE DE POLYSACCHARIDE
Abstract:
(EN) Particles of a polysaccharide derivative, having at least one substituent with conjugated unsaturated bonds and exhibiting an index of refraction in excess of 1.50 and a method for the production thereof. In the method, the raw-material is suspended in an organic solvent to forma suspension, which is contacted with an organic reactant comprising a residue with conjugated unsaturated bonds; the raw-material and the organic reactant are reacted to forma derivative exhibiting ester or ether bond between the raw-material and the residue with conjugated unsaturated bonds; the polysaccharide derivative is dissolved in a solvent to forma solution; and the solution is contacted with a non-solvent to precipitate particles of the polysaccharide derivative. The invention provides lightweight, optically improved organic pigments and fillers based on renewable resources and which are recyclable by combustion or composting.
(FR) L'invention porte sur des particules d'un dérivé de polysaccharide, contenant au moins un substituant comportant des liaisons insaturées conjuguées et présentant un indice de réfraction de plus de 1,50, et sur un procédé permettant leur production. Dans le procédé, la matière première est mise en suspension dans un solvant organique pour former une suspension, qui est mise en contact avec un réactif organique comprenant un résidu comportant des liaisons insaturées conjuguées; la matière première et le réactif organique sont amenés à réagir pour former un dérivé présentant une liaison ester ou éther entre la matière première et le résidu comportant des liaisons insaturées conjuguées; le dérivé de polysaccharide est dissous dans un solvant pour former une solution; et la solution est mise en contact avec un non-solvant pour faire précipiter les particules du dérivé de polysaccharide. L'invention permet d'obtenir des pigments et charges organiques optiquement améliorés, de poids léger, à base de ressources renouvelables et qui sont recyclables par combustion ou compostage.
