Abstract:
(EN) This invention relates to a solar furnace. In particular, this invention relates to a solar furnace which is capable of raising the temperature of transfer medium. In use, the heated transfer medium can be used to generate electricity or put to other work, such as, for example, air conditioning, pasteurisation or desalination. In fact, for any situation that requires a source to generate work or power. The present invention describes a solar furnace for raising the temperature of a heat transfer medium, comprising a lens array for admitting incident thermal and solar energy onto a reflector portion and a pressure vessel. The reflector portion being generally shaped so as to concentrate said solar energy onto said pressure vessel. The pressure vessel having an inlet through which said heat transfer medium is injected and a central core which defines a continuous heat transfer path for said heat transfer medium to contact the surface of said pressure vessel and exit said pressure vessel at an outlet. The solar furnace described herein is totally self-contained, requiring no additional power and can be used at the most remote locations requiring very little maintenance.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un four solaire. En particulier, la présente invention concerne un four solaire capable d'élever la température d'un milieu de transfert. En cours d'utilisation, le milieu de transfert chauffé peut être utilisé pour générer de l'électricité ou employé autrement, comme par exemple à des fins de climatisation, de pasteurisation ou de dessalement, et plus généralement toute situation nécessitant une source génératrice de travail ou de puissance. La présente invention concerne un four solaire destiné à élever la température d'un milieu de transfert, comportant un ensemble de lentilles servant à amener une énergie thermique et solaire incidente sur une partie réflectrice et un récipient à pression. La partie réflectrice présente généralement une forme permettant de concentrer ladite énergie solaire sur ledit récipient à pression. Le récipient à pression est doté d'une entrée à travers laquelle ledit milieu de transfert de chaleur est injecté et une âme centrale qui définit un passage continu de transfert de chaleur pour permettre audit milieu de transfert de chaleur de toucher la surface dudit récipient à pression et de quitter ledit récipient à pression par une sortie. Le four solaire ci-décrit est entièrement autonome, ne nécessite aucune puissance supplémentaire et peut se situer dans les lieux les plus reculés en nécessitant très peu d'entretien.
