Abstract:
(EN) Process for the joint production of sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate out of trona according to which: Crushed trona ore is introduced and dissolved in a leaching tank containing a solution comprising sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate, saturated in sodium bicarbonate, in order to produce solid particles suspended in a production solution comprising sodium carbonate, the solid particles containing insoluble impurities and at least 65% in weight of sodium bicarbonate; The solid particles are separated from the production solution containing sodium carbonate; The separated solid particles are dried and valorized; At least part of the production solution containing sodium carbonate is taken out of the leaching tank in order to constitute a produced solution which is valorized; Extraction water is introduced in the leaching tank.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé pour la production conjointe de carbonate de sodium et de bicarbonate de sodium à partir de trona selon lequel : du minerai de trona broyé est introduit et dissous dans une cuve de lixiviation contenant une solution comprenant du carbonate de sodium et du bicarbonate de sodium, saturée en bicarbonate de sodium, afin de produire des particules solides en suspension dans une solution de production comprenant du carbonate de sodium, les particules solides contenant des impuretés insolubles et au moins 65 % en poids de bicarbonate de sodium ; les particules solides sont séparées de la solution de production contenant du carbonate de sodium ; les particules solides séparées sont séchées et valorisées ; au moins une partie de la solution de production contenant du carbonate de sodium est retirée de la cuve de lixiviation afin de constituer une solution produite qui est valorisée ; l'eau d'extraction est introduite dans la cuve de lixiviation.
