Abstract:
(EN) A flame retardant polymer composition comprising (A) an ethylene copolymer comprising polar comonomer units, (B) a silicone-group containing compound, (C) an inorganic filler material, and (D) an ethylene homopolymer or a copolymer of ethylene with one or more other alpha-olefin comonomer units, wherein the polymer composition has a melting enthalpy of at least 78 J/g, an article, in particular a wire or cable, comprising said composition and the use of an ethylene homo- or copolymer in a flame retardant layer of a wire or cable for improving the mechanical properties of the wire or cable.
(FR) La présente invention concerne une composition polymère ignifugeante comprenant (A) un copolymère d'éthylène comprenant des motifs comonomères polaires, (B) un composé contenant un groupe silicone, (C) une charge inorganique, et (D) un homopolymère d'éthylène ou un copolymère d'éthylène avec un plusieurs autres motifs comonomères d'alpha-oléfines, la composition polymère ayant une enthalpie de fusion d'au moins 78 J/g. L'invention concerne également un article, en particulier un fil ou un câble, comprenant ladite composition, et l'utilisation d'un homo- ou copolymère d'éthylène dans une couche ignifugeante d'un fil ou d'un câble afin d'améliorer les propriétés mécaniques du fil ou du câble.
