Abstract:
(EN) A method for extracting zinc from an aqueous ammoniacal zinc solution containing impurities, the method comprising the steps of: (i) contacting the aqueous ammoniacal zinc solution containing impurities with an organic phase comprising an ammonium salt of an organic extractant dissolved in a hydrophobic diluent, allowing transfer of the zinc to the organic phase and transfer of ammonium to the aqueous phase, thereby providing a zinc-enriched, ammonium-depleted organic phase and an ammonium-enriched, zinc-depleted aqueous phase containing impurities; (ii) separating the zinc-enriched, ammonium-depleted organic phase from the ammonium-enriched, zinc-depleted aqueous phase containing impurities; (iii) contacting the zinc-enriched, ammonium-depleted organic phase with an aqueous solution containing positively charged species, allowing transfer of the zinc from the organic phase and transfer of positively charged species from the aqueous phase, thereby providing an aqueous zinc solution and an organic phase containing a zinc-depleted organic extractant; and (iv) recovering the zinc from the aqueous zinc solution.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé d'extraction de zinc à partir d'une solution ammoniacale aqueuse de zinc contenant des impuretés, le procédé comprenant les étapes suivantes : (i) la mise en contact de la solution ammoniacale aqueuse de zinc contenant des impuretés avec une phase organique qui comprend un sel d'ammonium d'un agent d'extraction organique dissous dans un diluant hydrophobe, permettant ainsi le transfert du zinc vers la phase organique et le transfert de l'ammonium vers la phase aqueuse, ce qui permet d'obtenir une phase organique enrichie en zinc et appauvrie en ammonium et une phase aqueuse appauvrie en zinc, enrichie en ammonium et contenant des impuretés; (ii) la séparation de la phase organique enrichie en zinc et appauvrie en ammonium de la phase aqueuse appauvrie en zinc, enrichie en ammonium et contenant des impuretés; (iii) la mise en contact de la phase organique enrichie en zinc et appauvrie en ammonium avec une solution aqueuse contenant des espèces chargées positivement, permettant ainsi le transfert du zinc de la phase organique et le transfert des espèces chargées positivement de la phase aqueuse, ce qui permet d'obtenir une solution aqueuse de zinc et une phase organique contenant un agent d'extraction organique appauvri en zinc; et (iv) la récupération du zinc à partir de la solution aqueuse de zinc.
