(EN) The present invention relates to a method for predicting the severity of an acute sickness response in a subject, said method comprising detecting the presence of a polymorphic marker in the subject, wherein said polymorphic marker is located in a cytokine-encoding gene, and wherein said polymorphic marker is predictive of the severity of an acute sickness response in the subject. The present invention relates to a method for predicting the severity of an acute sickness response in a subject, said method comprising detecting the presence of a polymorphic marker in the subject, wherein said polymorphic marker is located in a cytokine-encoding gene, such as interferon gamma (IFN-γ), interleukin 10 (IL-10) or interleukin 6 (IL-6), and wherein said polymorphic marker is predictive of the severity of an acute sickness response in the subject.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé pour la prédiction de la gravité d'une réaction pathologique aiguë chez un sujet, ledit procédé comprenant la détection de la présence d'un marqueur polymorphique chez le sujet, ledit marqueur polymorphique étant situé dans un gène codant pour une cytokine et ledit marqueur polymorphique permettant de prévoir la gravité d'une réaction pathologique aiguë chez le sujet. La présente invention concerne un procédé pour la prédiction de la gravité d'une réaction pathologique aiguë chez un sujet, ledit procédé comprenant la détection de la présence d'un marqueur polymorphique chez le sujet, ledit marqueur polymorphique étant situé dans un gène codant pour une cytokine, telle que l'interféron gamma (IFN-γ), l'interleukine-10 (IL-10) ou l'interleukine-6 (IL-6), et ledit marqueur polymorphique permettant de prévoir la gravité d'une réaction pathologique aiguë chez le sujet.
