The present invention relates to a method for optimizing the supply of a catalyst slurry during a polymerization process for preparing a polyolefin in a polymerization reactor (1), whereby said slurry consists of solid catalyst particles suspended in a hydrocarbon diluent and is characterised by a ratio of solid catalyst particles/diluent, whereby the catalyst slurry is fed to the reactor through at least two parallel catalyst feeding conduits (4, 104) which are intermittently operative in the polymerisation process, said method comprising the steps of : - determining an effective initial ratio solid catalyst particles/diluent for the polymerization process; - determining the actual ratio solid catalyst particles/diluent in a first operative feeding conduit (4); - calculating the difference between actual and initial ratio and in the event that said difference is more than a specified threshold, shutting down the first catalyst feeding conduit (4) and activating a second catalyst feeding conduit (104). The catalyst slurry is periodically supplied to the reactor. The invention also relates to polyolefin production processes and polyolefin producing units.

La présente invention concerne un procédé d’optimisation de l’introduction d’une pâte catalytique pendant un procédé de polymérisation pour la préparation d’une polyoléfine dans un réacteur de polymérisation (1). Selon l’invention, ladite pâte est constituée de particules catalytiques solides suspendues dans un diluant hydrocarboné et est caractérisée par un rapport particules catalytiques solides/diluant. La pâte catalytique est introduite dans le réacteur par au moins deux conduites d’alimentation en catalyseur parallèles (4, 104), qui fonctionnent par intermittence pendant le procédé de polymérisation, ledit procédé comprenant les étapes suivantes : - la détermination d’un rapport particules catalytiques solides/diluant initial efficace pour le procédé de polymérisation ; - la détermination du rapport particules catalytiques solides/diluant réel dans une première conduite d’alimentation en fonctionnement (4) ; - le calcul de la différence entre le rapport réel et le rapport initial et, si ladite différence est supérieure à un seuil spécifié, la fermeture de la première conduite d’alimentation en catalyseur (4) et l’activation d’une seconde conduite d’alimentation en catalyseur (104). La pâte catalytique est introduite périodiquement dans le réacteur. L’invention concerne également des procédés de fabrication de polyoléfines et des unités de fabrication de polyoléfines.
