Abstract

The present invention concerns a method of preparation of nanoparticular metal oxide catalysts having a narrow particle size distribution. In particular, the invention concerns preparation of nanoparticular metal oxide catalyst precursors comprising combustible crystallization seeds upon which the catalyst metai oxide is co-precipitated with the carrier metal oxide, which crystallization seeds are removed by combustion in a final calcining step. The present invention also concerns processes wherein the nanoparticular metal oxide catalysts of the invention are used, such as SCR (deNOx) reactions of nitrogen oxides with ammonia or urea as reductant, oxidations of alcohols or aldehydes with dioxygen or air to provide aldehydes, ketones or carboxylic acids, and photocatalytic oxidation of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

La présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation de catalyseurs nanoparticulaires à base d'oxydes métalliques présentant une distribution de taille de particules étroite, en particulier un procédé de préparation de précurseurs de catalyseurs nanoparticulaires à base d'oxydes métalliques comprenant des germes de cristallisation combustibles sur lesquels l'oxyde métallique du catalyseur est coprécipité avec l'oxyde métallique de support, lesquels germes de cristallisation sont éliminés par combustion lors d’une étape finale de calcination. L’invention concerne également des procédés reposant sur l'utilisation des présents catalyseurs nanoparticulaires à base d'oxydes métalliques, tels que les réactions de réduction catalytique sélective d'oxydes d'azote (deNOx) avec de l'ammoniac ou de l'urée comme réducteur, l’oxydation d'alcools ou d'aldéhydes avec du dioxygène ou de l'air pour obtenir des aldéhydes, des cétones ou des acides carboxyliques, et l’oxydation photocatalytique de composés organiques volatils (COV).
