Abstract

The present invention provides a surgical lamp for illuminating a surgical site. The surgical lamp includes a housing that defines an internal cavity. A light source is disposed within the internal cavity of the housing for producing a light field at a surgical site that is remote from the housing. A voltage sensitive device is disposed between the light source and the surgical site. The voltage sensitive device has light transmissive properties that change in response to a biasing voltage applied thereto. Control means control the biasing voltage to the voltage sensitive device.

La présente invention porte sur une lampe chirurgicale pour éclairer un champ opératoire. La lampe chirurgicale comprend un boîtier qui définit une cavité interne. Une source de lumière est disposée à l'intérieur de la cavité interne du boîtier pour produire un champ lumineux au niveau d'un champ opératoire qui est distant du boîtier. Un dispositif sensible à la tension est disposé entre la source de lumière et le champ opératoire. Le dispositif sensible à la tension a des propriétés de transmission de lumière qui changent en réponse à une tension de polarisation appliquée à celui-ci. Des moyens de commande commandent la tension de polarisation appliquée au dispositif sensible à la tension.
