Method and arrangement in a first user terminal for providing location information associated with the first user terminal to a second user terminal, the first user terminal and the second user terminal are comprised within a wireless communication system, which wireless communication system further comprises a plurality of radio base stations of which one first radio base station at the moment is serving the first user terminal, the method comprises receiving a signal from one of the radio base stations, comprising the absolute geographical coordinates corresponding to the location of that radio base station, performing pilot signal measurements on the received signal, determining the absolute geographical coordinates corresponding to the location of the first user terminal, based on the performed pilot signal measurements and the received absolute geographical coordinates of the radio base station, and transmitting the determined absolute geographical coordinates to the second user terminal.

La présente invention porte sur un procédé et sur un agencement dans un premier terminal utilisateur pour transmettre des informations de localisation associées au premier terminal utilisateur à un second terminal utilisateur. Le premier terminal utilisateur et le second terminal utilisateur sont compris dans un système de communication sans fil. Ledit système de communication sans fil comprend en outre une pluralité de stations de base radio dont une première station de base radio sert à cet instant de premier terminal utilisateur. Le procédé comprend la réception d'un signal en provenance de l'une des stations de base radio, comprenant les coordonnées géographiques absolues correspondant à la localisation de cette station de base radio, la réalisation de mesures de signal pilote sur le signal reçu, la détermination des coordonnées géographiques absolues correspondant à la localisation du premier terminal utilisateur, sur la base des mesures du signal pilote qui ont été réalisées et des coordonnées géographiques absolues reçues de la station de base, et la transmission des coordonnées géographiques absolues déterminées au second terminal utilisateur.
