Provided is an image inputting apparatus wherein luminance signals having a high S/N ratio can be generated even during nighttime with a small quantity of photons.  An imaging element (3) images image components (Ye, R, IR, W).  A color signal generating section (42) generates color signals (dR, dG, dB) from the image components (Ye, R, IR, W).  A color space conversion section (43) converts the color signals (dR, dG, dB) into a color space that includes luminance signals and color difference signals.  The color space conversion section (43) calculates a luminance signal (Yadd) obtained by adding the image components (Ye, R, IR, W), as the luminance signal of the color space to be converted.

La présente invention concerne un appareil de saisie d'images, des signaux de luminance possédant un rapport S/N élevé pouvant être générés même pendant la nuit grâce à une petite quantité de photons. Un élément d'imagerie (3) image des composants d’image (Ye, R, IR, W). Une section de génération de signaux de couleur (42) génère des signaux de couleur (dR, dG, dB) à partir des composants d'image (Ye, R, IR, W). Une section de conversion d'espace de couleur (43) convertit les signaux de couleur (dR, dG, dB) en un espace de couleur qui comprend des signaux de luminance et des signaux de différence de couleur. La section de conversion d'espace de couleur (43) calcule un signal de luminance (Yadd) obtenu en ajoutant les composants d'image (Ye, R, IR, W), tel que le signal de luminance de l'espace de couleur devant être converti.
