Abstract
(EN) A directing system for directing fluid entering an axial flow turbine along an inlet flow direction. The turbine includes a plurality of turbine blades. The directing system includes a base structure, a plurality of directing segments attached to the base structure, downstream of the base structure, and a directing segment adjustment system for adjustably positioning the directing segments between a retracted configuration and a deployed configuration. The directing segments, in the deployed configuration, extend beyond the base structure in a direction transversal to the inlet flow direction and deflect the fluid towards an outer circumference of the plurality of turbine blades corresponding to a higher torque area of the blades. A directing system for directing fluid entering a cross-flow turbine is also disclosed. In the cross-flow turbine, the fluid is directed towards a centerline of the rotor of the turbine, which is a high torque area of the turbine blades.
(FR) L’invention concerne un système de guidage conçu pour guider un fluide pénétrant dans une turbine à écoulement axial dans une direction d’écoulement d’admission. La turbine comprend une pluralité d’aubes de turbine. Le système de guidage comprend une structure de base, une pluralité de segments de guidage fixés à la structure de base, en aval de la structure de base, ainsi qu’un système de réglage de segments de guidage permettant de positionner de manière réglable les segments de guidage entre une configuration rentrée et une configuration déployée. Les segments de guidage, dans la configuration déployée, s’étendent au-delà de la structure de base dans une direction transversale à la direction d’écoulement d’admission et dévient le fluide vers une circonférence externe de la pluralité d’aubes de turbine correspondant à une zone de couple supérieure des aubes. L’invention concerne également un système de guidage conçu pour guider un fluide pénétrant dans une turbine à impulsions radiales. Dans la turbine à impulsions radiales, le fluide est guidé vers une ligne centrale du rotor de la turbine, qui est une zone de couple élevée des aubes de turbine.
