Abstract
(EN)
An energy generation and storage system that uses a buoyant balloon suspended in a fluid and connected by a tether to a reel. The tether is taut and keeps the balloon from rising due to the buoyant force. A motor can do work to wind the reel in such a way that the balloon is pulled down against the buoyant force. Energy can be extracted from the system by allowing the balloon to rise, pulling on the tether and turning the reel that is connected to a generator. The generator and the motor can be the same unit, or they can be independent units which both connect to the reel.

L'invention concerne un système de production et de stockage d'énergie utilisant un ballon flottant suspendu dans un fluide et relié par un câble d'attache à une bobine. Le câble d'attache est tendu et empêche l'ascension du ballon due à la force de flottaison. Un moteur permet d'enrouler la bobine de manière à tirer le ballon vers le bas à l'encontre de la force de flottaison. On peut extraire de l'énergie au moyen du système en laissant le ballon monter, en tirant sur la sangle et en tournant la bobine reliée à un générateur. Le générateur et le moteur peuvent constituer une même unité ou des unités indépendantes toutes deux reliées à la bobine.
