A device for optically coupling two photonic elements (16a-b) may comprise an interposer (22) where each photonic element is axially aligned with an optical pathway in the interposer. Also included is an optics assembly (32) configured to direct a photonic signal along the optical pathway; and a mechanical guide assembly (28) configured to reduce the relative tilt and rotation of photonic elements. Another such device may comprise two connectors where each connector comprises an optical pathway element (36) in which an optics assembly is situated and a photonic element aligned with the optical pathway element. A mechanical guide assembly secures the optical pathway elements in a position so as to reduce the relative tilt and rotation of the photonic elements. A connection for optically coupling two computing units can comprise a partition (31) situated between the computing units and on which an interposer is mounted.

L'invention porte sur un dispositif de couplage optique de deux éléments photoniques (16a-b) qui peut comporter un interposeur (22) où chaque élément photonique est axialement aligné avec un trajet optique dans l'interposeur. Sont également inclus un ensemble optique (32) configuré pour diriger un signal photonique le long du trajet optique, et un ensemble de guidage mécanique (28) configuré pour réduire l'inclinaison et la rotation relatives d'éléments photoniques. Un autre tel dispositif peut comporter deux connecteurs, chaque connecteur comportant un élément de trajet optique (36) dans lequel un ensemble optique est situé et un élément photonique aligné avec l'élément de trajet optique. Un ensemble de guidage mécanique fixe les éléments de trajet optiques dans une position de façon à réduire l'inclinaison et la rotation relatives des éléments photoniques. Un raccord pour un couplage optique de deux unités informatiques peut comporter une cloison de séparation (31) située entre les unités informatiques et sur laquelle un interposeur est monté.
