(EN)A wireless power transmitter (300) includes a transmit antenna (304) configured as a resonant tank including a loop inductor (480) and an antenna capacitance (CA). The transmitter further includes a class-E amplifier (306) configured to drive the transmit antenna and a matching circuit (308) operably coupled between the transmit antenna and the amplifier. The matching circuit comprises an inductance (LF) and a capacitance (CF). The inductance (LF) of the matching circuit and an inductance (L2) of the amplifier may be realised by a single inductor (478). Also, the capacitance (CF) of the matching circuit and the antenna capacitance (CA) may be realised by a single capacitor (482). The receiver (608) comprises a receive antenna (618) including a parallel resonator and a rectifier circuit (600) comprising at least two rectifying diodes.
