(EN)Provided are a vertical magnetic recording medium and a method for manufacturing the same which can reduce a noise caused by an auxiliary recording layer so as to improve the SNR and achieve a further high recording density. The vertical magnetic recording medium (100) includes on a base: a magnetic recording layer (122) of the granular structure having a non-magnetic granule boundary portion formed between crystal particles grown in the columnar shape; a non-magnetic segmented layer (124) arranged on the magnetic recording layer (122) and containing Ru and oxygen; and an auxiliary recording layer (126) which is arranged on the segmented layer (124) and is almost continuous magnetically in the in-plane direction of the main surface of the base (110).
(FR)La présente invention concerne un support d'enregistrement magnétique vertical et un procédé de fabrication correspondant, permettant de réduire un bruit causé par une couche d'enregistrement auxiliaire de façon à améliorer le rapport signal-bruit et à réaliser une densité d'enregistrement encore plus élevée. Ce support d'enregistrement magnétique vertical (100) comporte une base sur laquelle se trouvent: une couche d'enregistrement magnétique (122) de structure granulaire présentant une zone limite de granules non magnétiques formée entre des particules de cristaux ayant cru en forme de colonnes; une couche non magnétique segmentée (124) disposée sur la couche d'enregistrement magnétique (122) et contenant du ruthénium et de l'oxygène; et une couche d'enregistrement auxiliaire (126) qui est disposée sur la couche segmentée (124) et qui est magnétiquement continue dans le plan de la surface principale de la base (110).
