(EN)The present invention provides a polymeric article formed from oriented polymeric strands (52) made using a hot compaction process and in which layers of said strands are lain one-on-top of the other and the bond therebetween is improved by the inclusion of a plurality of particles (108) spread across the confronting surfaces prior to bonding. The particles have a higher melting point than the oriented polymeric strands. The particles may be embedded in a polymer layer (54) prior to insertion between said surfaces.
(FR)La présente invention porte sur un article polymère formé à partir de brins polymères orientés (52) faits à l'aide d'un procédé de compactage à chaud et dans lequel des couches desdits brins sont disposées l'une au-dessus de l'autre et la liaison entre elles est améliorée par l'inclusion d'une pluralité de particules (108) étalées à travers les surfaces opposées avant liaison. Les particules ont un point de fusion supérieur à celui des brins polymères orientés. Les particules peuvent être incorporées dans une couche polymère (54) avant introduction entre lesdites surfaces.
