Abstract
(EN) A sampling tool (100, 200) for use in obtaining a sample of material from within a container comprises a cutter shaft carrying a cutting head (1, 101), the shaft including a passage which has an inlet located at or towards the cutting head (1, 101), a drive mechanism which is adapted to cause the cutter shaft to rotate in a first direction in turn to cause the cutting head to cut a hole in wall of the container and expose the inlet to the material contained within the container, a flexible seal (3, 103) carried by the cutter shaft which is located so that with the inlet in contact with the fluid the seal extends at least partially through the hole, a clamp mechanism which is operable once the seal is located in the hole such that continued rotation of the cutter shaft pulls the cutting head (1, 101) back towards the hole to mechanically clamp the seal (3, 103) around the hole; and a self sealing connector which is in connection with an outlet of the passage and through which a sample may be withdrawn into a suitable receptacle by drawing it through the passage.
(FR) L'invention concerne un outil d'échantillonnage 100, 200 du matériau présent dans un conteneur, comportant un bras porte-cutter portant une tête de cutter 1, 101, et comprenant: un passage présentant un orifice d'entrée située près ou au voisinage de la tête de cutter 1, 101; un mécanisme d'entraînement faisant pivoter le bras tour à tour dans une première direction pour découper un trou dans la paroi du conteneur et exposer l'orifice d'entrée au matériau présent dans le conteneur; un joint souple 3, 103 porté par le bras porte-cutter et placé de manière à ce que quand l'orifice d'entrée est en contact avec le fluide, le joint s'étende au moins en partie à travers le trou; un mécanisme de serrage fonctionnant lorsque le joint est placé dans le trou pour que la rotation continue du bras se poursuivant retire la tête de cutter du trou et scelle mécaniquement le joint 3, 103 autour du trou; et un connecteur auto-obturant relié à l'orifice de sortie du passage et à travers lequel on peut transférer via le passage l'échantillon dans un réceptacle.
