Abstract
(EN) The present invention relates to methods of treating and/or ameliorating the severity of inflammation and autoimmunity in the central nervous system (CNS). In one embodiment, the present invention provides a method of treating multiple sclerosis by administering a therapeutically effective dosage of nicotine, or a pharmaceutical equivalent, analog, derivative, or salt thereof.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des procédés de traitement et/ou d’amélioration de la gravité d’une inflammation et de l’auto-immunité dans le système nerveux central (SNC). Dans un mode de réalisation, la présente invention concerne un procédé de traitement de la sclérose en plaques par administration d’une dose thérapeutiquement efficace de nicotine, ou d’un équivalent pharmaceutique, un analogue, un dérivé, ou un sel de celle-ci.
