(EN)A method for producing an algal biomass that readily separable from water, and preferably sterile, the method comprising heating an aqueous slurry of algae comprising a mixture of an algal biomass, optionally together with a suitable separation agent, and water in a pressure vessel at a temperature of about 140°C to about 300°C and a pressure sufficient to maintain the liquid phase. The method produces an algal biomass that is more readily separable from water and an aqueous phase containing organic chemicals.
(FR)L’invention concerne un procédé de production d’une biomasse algale pouvant être facilement séparée de l’eau, et de préférence stérile, le procédé consistant à chauffer une suspension aqueuse d’algues comprenant un mélange d’une biomasse algale, avec éventuellement un agent de séparation approprié, et de l’eau dans un récipient sous pression à une température d’environ 140 °C à environ 300 °C et à une pression suffisante pour maintenir la phase liquide. Le procédé produit une biomasse algale plus facilement séparable de l’eau, et une phase aqueuse contenant des produits chimiques organiques.
