Abstract
(EN) In a plasma display provided with a PDP (10) having a plurality of Y electrodes, at least one region of part (R1) of the PDP (10) or part (F1, F2) of an FPC substrate (62) is rendered an unequal interval section (51) in which the point where the interval of the adjacent Y electrode pair is a small interval (P1) and the point where the interval is a large interval (P2) are alternately aligned to reduce the width of a direction (Dy) in which the Y electrodes are aligned in the region. The plasma display is also provided with a drive circuit for applying two types of drive waveforms (A) and (B) each including the point at which a predetermined potential difference is generated to the Y electrodes. The drive circuit applies one of the drive waveform (A) or (B) so that the same type of drive waveform is applied to each electrode of the Y electrode pair which is the small interval (P1) with small creeping distance. Further, the drive circuit applies the drive waveform (A) to one of the electrodes of the Y electrode pair which is the large interval (P2) with large creeping distance and applies the drive waveform (B) to the other thereof.
(FR) L'invention porte sur un dispositif d'affichage à plasma muni d'un panneau d'affichage à plasma (10) comportant une pluralité d'électrodes Y, au moins une région d'une partie (R1) du panneau d'affichage à plasma (10) ou une partie (F1, F2) d'un substrat de circuits imprimés souple (62) est mise sous la forme d'une section à intervalles inégaux (51), dans laquelle le point où l'intervalle de la paire d'électrodes Y adjacentes est un petit intervalle (P1) et le point où l'intervalle est un grand intervalle (P2) sont alignés alternativement afin de réduire la largeur de la direction (Dy) dans laquelle les électrodes Y sont alignés dans la région.
