Abstract
(EN) A passive optical network system, a line coding method and an optical network unit are described. The optical network unit comprises a downlink optical receiver configured to receive a first portion of a downstream data signal, and an uplink optical remodulator configured to receive a second portion of the downstream data signal and remodulate itto generate a return-to-zero line coded upstream data signal. The downstream data signal may be inverse-return-to-zero line coded.
(FR) L'invention porte sur un système de réseau optique passif, sur un procédé de codage de ligne et sur une unité de réseau optique. L'unité de réseau optique comprend un récepteur optique de liaison descendante configuré pour recevoir une première partie d'un signal de données descendant, et un remodulateur optique de liaison montante configuré pour recevoir une seconde partie du signal de données descendant et la remoduler afin de générer un signal de données montant codé en ligne avec retour à zéro. Le signal de données descendant peut être codé en ligne avec retour à zéro inversé.
