Title (EN) RAPIDLY DISINTEGRATING TABLETS COMPRISING LIPASE, AMYLASE, AND PROTEASE
(FR) COMPRIMÉS À DÉSINTÉGRATION RAPIDE RENFERMANT DE LA LIPASE, DE L'AMYLASE ET DE LA PROTÉASE
Abstract: front page image
(EN)The present invention relates to orally administrable formulations of proteins, including their amorphous and crystalline phases, and cross-linked forms thereof. In particuler, the formulations comprise a mixture of lipase, protease and amylase together with an effervescent agent. The invention further relates to methods of administration of these formulations, including their preparation and conditions of use. More specifically, the invention relates to methods of preparing and administering formulations that are advantageous for use with pediatric populations and patients with deglutition-related disorders such as those frequently seen in disabled and geriatric populations, and patients with esophageal occlusions or autonomic complications (i.e., from Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Lou Gehrig's disease, etc.).
