(EN)Provided is a confocal microscope apparatus that facilitates the adjustment procedure when obtaining confocal images and whereby the device is made smaller. The confocal microscope apparatus (1) is provided with a fiber light source (2) that shines illuminating light (L1), a prism array mask (6) wherein first transmission parts (15a) that transmit a first component (L2) of the fluorescence from Sample (A) that returns along the direction of incidence of the illuminating light and illuminating light (L1), and second transmission parts (15b) that transmit and diffract a second component (L3), which is other than the first component (L2), of the fluorescence in a direction that differs from the first component (L2), are alternately arranged, an imaging element (11A) that receives the first component (L2) transmitted through the first transmission parts (15a) and an imaging element (11B) that receives the second component (L3) transmitted through the second transmission parts (15b). A confocal image of the object is formed based on image data obtained by the imaging elements (11A) and (11B).
