Abstract
(EN) Process for manufacturing a plastic fuel tank equipped with a pump Process for manufacturing a plastic fuel tank equipped with a pump, by moulding a tubular parison cut into two sheets with the aid of a mould comprising two cavities and a core, said process comprising the following steps:. the parison is introduced into the mould cavities;. the core is introduced inside the parison, said core having first been fitted with a swirl pot comprising a housing for the pump;. the mould is closed so that the cavities come into leaktight contact with the core;. the parison is pressed against the cavities by blowing through the core and/or applying a vacuum behind the cavities;.using a device firmly attached to the core, the swirl pot is fastened to the parison;. the mould is opened to withdraw the core, -.the final moulding of the parison is carried out by blow moulding (by injecting a pressurized fluid inside the parison) and/or thermoforming (by applying a vacuum behind the cavities); and. the tank is demoulded and through an opening in the latter the pump is mounted in the housing of the swirl pot. According to the invention, the mounting of the pump is achieved by way of an intermediate part (2), the external shape of which is standard and complementary to that of the housing, and the internal shape of which is adapted to the pump.
(FR) Procédé servant à fabriquer un réservoir à carburant en plastique équipé d'une pompe et consistant à mouler une paraison tubulaire découpée en deux feuilles à l'aide d'un moule comprenant deux cavités et un noyau. Ce procédé comprend les étapes suivantes: introduction de la paraison dans les cavités du moule; introduction du noyau à l'intérieur de la paraison, ledit noyau ayant d'abord été pourvu d'un pot à tourbillons comprenant un carter pour la pompe; fermeture du moule, de manière à faire venir les cavités en contact étanche avec le noyau; compression de la paraison contre les cavités par soufflage à travers le noyau et/ou application d'un vide entre les cavités; utilisation d'un dispositif solidement fixé au noyau afin de solidariser le pot à tourbillons avec la paraison; ouverture du moule afin de retirer le noyau; exécution du moulage final de la paraison par moulage par soufflage (par injection d'un liquide sous pression à l'intérieur de la paraison) et/ou thermoformage (par application d'un vide derrière les cavités); démoulage du réservoir et par une ouverture de ce dernier, montage de la pompe dans l'enveloppe du pot à tourbillons. Selon l'invention, le montage de la pompe est effectué au moyen d'une pièce intermédiaire dont la forme extérieure est normalisée et complémentaire à celle de l'enveloppe et dont la forme intérieure est adaptée à la pompe.
