A vehicle suspension kinetic energy recovery system generates useful energy from the up-and-down motion of a vehicle suspension caused by roadway irregularities as the vehicle travels down the roadway. In one embodiment, a piston-type pump mounted between the frame and the suspension charges a high-pressure accumulator for driving hydraulic motors, e.g., power windows, power seats, alternator, etc. In another embodiment, electricity is generated directly by a conductor moving with respect to magnetic field as a result of the up-and-down motion of the vehicle suspension. In yet another embodiment, an air compressor mounted between the frame and suspension compresses air for storage in a pressure tank and, thereafter, to power pneumatic devices.

L'invention porte sur un système de récupération d'énergie cinétique de suspension de véhicule, lequel système génère une énergie utile à partir du mouvement vers le haut et vers le bas d'une suspension de véhicule, provoqué par des irrégularités de la route à mesure que le véhicule se déplace sur la route. Dans un mode de réalisation, une pompe à piston montée entre le châssis et la suspension charge un accumulateur haute pression pour entraîner des moteurs hydrauliques, par exemple, des fenêtres actionnées, des sièges actionnés, un alternateur, etc. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, de l'électricité est générée directement par un conducteur se déplaçant par rapport à un champ magnétique par suite du mouvement vers le haut et vers le bas de la suspension de véhicule. Dans encore un autre mode de réalisation, un compresseur à air monté entre le châssis et la suspension comprime de l'air pour un stockage dans un réservoir de pression et, par la suite, alimenter en énergie des dispositifs pneumatiques.
