Abstract:
(EN) This invention provides the instrumentation and method to perform a percutaneous restrictive bariatric procedure with very low associated risks as compared to other types of bariatric surgery because the procedure is truly minimally invasive. The procedures of the present invention are performed percutaneously and do not rely on laproscopic or endoscopic guidance. The procedures of the present invention percutaneously restrict the stomach by decreasing the size of the pouch and delay emptying of the pouch by reducing the size of the outlet.
(FR) La présente invention concerne l'instrumentation et le procédé permettant la mise en œuvre d'une procédure bariatrique restrictive percutanée avec très peu de risques associés par rapport à d'autres types de chirurgie bariatrique du fait du caractère très peu invasif de ladite procédure. Les procédures de la présente invention sont mises en œuvre par voie percutanée et ne reposent pas sur des examens cœlioscopiques ou endoscopiques. Les procédures de la présente invention ont pour effet de réduire par voie percutanée l'estomac en diminuant la taille de la poche stomacale et en retardant la vidange gastrique grâce à une réduction de la taille de l'orifice de sortie.
