A coated abrasive article comprises a backing, optionally having at least one of a presize layer, a saturant, and a backsize layer thereon; and an abrasive layer adjacent and secured to the fabric backing. The abrasive layer may comprise a make layer, a size layer, and abrasive particles, or the abrasive particles may be dispersed in a binder. At least one of the make layer or presize layer comprises a reaction product of a binder precursor comprising from 45 to 75 percent by weight of resole phenolic resin, from 5 to 40 percent by weight of polyepoxide, from 1 to 20 percent by weight of polyfunctional (meth)acrylate, and an effective amount of photoinitiator to free-radically B-stage the binder precursor. Methods of making and using the coated abrasive article are also disclosed.

L'invention porte sur un article abrasif revêtu comprenant un support, ayant facultativement au moins une couche d'apprêt, un agent d'imprégnation et une couche de colle sur celui-ci; et une couche abrasive adjacente et bien fixée au support en tissu. La couche abrasive peut comprendre une couche de préparation, une couche de colle et des particules abrasives, ou les particules abrasives peuvent être dispersées dans un liant. Au moins l'une parmi la couche de préparation ou la couche d'apprêt comprend un produit réactionnel d'un précurseur de liant comprenant de 45 à 75 pour cent en poids de résine phénolique à base de résole, de 5 à 40 pour cent en poids de polyépoxyde, de 1 à 20 pour cent en poids de (méth)acrylate polyfonctionnel et une quantité efficace de photoinitiateur pour mettre à l'état B par voie radicalaire le précurseur de liant.
