Abstract

A method of transmitting signals from a base station towards user terminals in a cellular communication system. The method includes generating (18) a plurality of diversity signals, wherein at least one of said diversity signals is subjected to a selectively variable RF phase shift (20). Specifically, a set of radio link quality indicators (KPI) is determined at the base station, wherein each radio link quality indicator (KPI) is representative for the quality of the radio link between the base station and a respective one of the user terminals (UE). The set of radio link quality indicators (KPI) is used to generate an aggregated radio quality indicator, which in turn is used to selectively vary the variable RF phase shift. For example, the phase shift may be selected, which optimizes the aggregated radio quality indicator.

L'invention porte sur un procédé de transmission de signaux d'une station de base vers des terminaux utilisateurs dans un système de communication cellulaire. Le procédé comprend la génération (18) d'une pluralité de signaux de diversité, au moins un desdits signaux de diversité étant soumis à un déphasage RF sélectivement variable (20). Spécifiquement, un ensemble d'indicateurs de qualité de liaison radio (KPI) est déterminé au niveau de la station de base, chaque indicateur de qualité de liaison radio (KPI) étant représentatif de la qualité de la liaison radio entre la station de base et l'un respectif des terminaux utilisateurs (UE). L'ensemble d'indicateurs de qualité de liaison radio (KPI) est utilisé pour générer un indicateur de qualité radio agrégé, qui est à son tour utilisé pour faire varier de façon sélective le déphasage RF variable. Par exemple, le déphasage peut être sélectionné, qui vient optimiser l'indicateur de qualité radio agrégé.
