(EN)A method for finding the launch of a ManPADS missile comprising the steps of installing a network of electro optical (EO) and infrared (IR) cameras with a triggering receiver and pointing the EO and IR cameras in the direction of a suspicious emission, wherein the EO camera provides high resolution video and the IR camera finds the ManPADS and tracks its user.
(FR)La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant d'identifier le lancement d'un missile de système portatif de défense antiaérienne (ManPADS), lequel procédé consiste à installer un réseau de caméras électro-optiques (EO) et infrarouges (IR) comportant un récepteur de déclenchement, puis à orienter les caméras EO et IR en direction d'une émission suspecte. Selon l'invention, la caméra EO fournit une vidéo haute résolution et la caméra IR permet de trouver le système portatif de défense antiaérienne et de suivre son utilisateur.
