(EN)Environmental Control of Fouling An anti-fouling apparatus comprising a gas permeable element (3) attachable to a surface and means (5) to introduce gas to the gas permeable element, wherein the gas is released into a micro- environment immediately adjacent the free surface of the gas permeable element and wherein the gas is selected to modify at least one condition in said micro-environment such that the said micro- environment is rendered unfavourable to the accumulation of foulants therein.
(FR)L'invention porte sur un appareil anti-pollution comprenant un élément perméable au gaz pouvant être fixé à une surface et des moyens pour introduire un gaz dans l'élément perméable au gaz, le gaz étant libéré dans un micro-environnement immédiatement au voisinage de la surface libre de l'élément perméable au gaz, et le gaz étant sélectionné de façon à modifier au moins une condition dans ledit micro-environnement de telle sorte que ledit micro-environnement est rendu défavorable à l'accumulation de polluants à l'intérieur de celui-ci.
