Title (EN) A METHOD OF CONTROLLING CONFIGURATION CHANGE OF AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE
(FR) PROCÉDÉ DE COMMANDE DE MODIFICATION DE CONFIGURATION D’UN DISPOSITIF ÉLECTRONIQUE ET DISPOSITIF ÉLECTRONIQUE
Abstract: front page image
(EN)A method of controlling access rights for changing configuration of an electronic device is disclosed. The device comprises at least two subsystems, a mutex and a plurality of registers, wherein the subsystems share the same resource. The method comprises the steps of locking (106) the mutex by said first subsystem if a status of said mutex is free (102); checking (108) if the new configuration will adversely affect said second subsystem and if said checking shows that there is no adverse effect on said second subsystem then writing (116) said new configuration setting to a register for storing a configuration request.
